Does Echo store my Bubble messages?

Translation history is stored locally on your device and can be deleted in one tap. Echo does not publish or sell message content.

What about idol voice notes?

Voice notes are audio, so use Audio mode instead — it captures the app audio through Screen Broadcast and captions it live.

What you need

  • iPhone or iPad on iOS 26 or later — a physical device, since Screen Broadcast does not run in the Simulator.
  • The Bubble or Weverse app, signed in to the membership that receives the messages.

Step by step

    Open Echo and choose Screen mode

    Screen mode reads the text on your display rather than listening to audio — the right mode for a message thread.

    Set Korean → your language

    Pick English, 简体中文 or 繁體中文. Echo keeps Traditional and Simplified as separate targets.

    Start the Screen Broadcast

    Confirm Apple's standard Screen Broadcast prompt. Echo uses it only to capture the screen you are about to translate.

    Turn on the floating overlay

    The picture-in-picture window keeps the translation visible after you leave Echo.

    Open Bubble or the Weverse DM tab and scroll

    Each message is translated as it comes into view. Voice notes are audio, so switch to Audio mode for those.

Why idol names survive

Bubble messages are dense with nicknames, fandom shorthand and inside jokes. Echo's ~770-term K-pop glossary pins official idol names, group names and fandom vocabulary to their correct spellings, so a message doesn't turn your bias into a stranger with a different romanisation.

Troubleshooting

  • Nothing appears: the Screen Broadcast probably stopped — restart it from Echo, not Control Center.
  • Text is captured but not translated: check the source language is set to Korean.
